Many rehabilitation centers utilize literature indicating severe nutritional deficiencies during drug taking. However, if an individual is in recovery, it can be safely assumed they are now eating better. Thus, addiction nutrition is the wrong approach. We are developing an evidence based recovery nutrition regimen to support brain health and repair, and to reduce cravings and relapse. We are currently testing this approach in rodent models of addiction using self-administration of various drugs of abuse.

Our long-term goal is to bring the results from our tests to human clinical trials.
